USA Technologies |
USA Technologies Inc. ( NASDAQ: USAT )shares surged 24 % to $3.59 in premarket after the company announced a deal with Verizon Wireless to offer credit and debit-card payments at vending machines.
According to our recommendation it wouldn't have much upside as a trading point of view, but one might look it as an investment point of view.
USA Technologies said its ePort Connect Service will now connect via the Verizon Wireless network. Verizon Wireless is jointly owned by Verizon Communications Inc and Vodafone Group PLC.
With more than 100,000 M2M (machine-to-machine) connections to their ePort Connect service, USA Technologies is a leading provider of small-ticket, wireless, non-cash transaction services to businesses and industries including kiosks, hospitality, digital imaging and the $43 billion vending machine industry.
Earlier this month, the cashless services provider said it processed 7.5 million small-ticket transactions representing $12.2 million in March, a 17% increase over February and a 93% increase from the year earlier.
