Biggest single day drops of US indices in history.

On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average posted its sixth-largest point drop in history, while the S&P 500 had its fifth biggest.



Here is a look at the biggest point losses ever. Keep in mind that the biggest one-day percent drop in history was 22.6 percent in October 1987.
